Since 2014 I've been a student of Nic Askew (Soul Biographies) and Andrew Hassenruck and have made nearly 50 portraits of people, mostly black and white, trying to be a witness of who they truly are. I'm now working on different types of assignments, always trying to create a space where people in front of my camera can let happen what wants to happen. In 2016 I also enrolled in a masterclass of Werner Herzog to further professionalise my filming and editing.
A little more about me: I'm the proud father of two daughters, Maaike and Anne and a son, Dirk and grandfather of Ilse and Jochem. I live with my partner, Hanne, on our houseboat near Spaarndam in the Netherlands. My passions is around strength based leadership, rooted in the ideas, philosophy of social constructionism and Appreciative Inquiry. Most of my life I have had the privilege of facilitation organizations in senior positions, something I truly enjoyed. And since a couple of years there is the passion for Tango, a wonderful dance!
